Hi, as you know, I'm Mark Smith. I was born and raised in Santa Clara, California,
not far from beautiful Santa Cruz and San Francisco. I now live in the Santa Cruz
mountains. I have three outstanding brothers - Kyle, Kevin, and Matthew -
and enjoy using what I learned at UC San Diego at my job at IBM Research.
I studied Computer Science, specializing in software
engineering, but somewhat circuitously ended up doing my thesis on a phenomenon
dubbed "Age of Acquisition" found in Neural Networks.
